I started running in my early twenties. Maybe you don't know Joe Malléjac, analyst of track and field competitions during the summer Olympics in the 70's and 80's. It was after reading his book "Run for a better life" that I became interested in running. During my early years I participated in several 5km to 10 km races. With the arrival of my children, my training rhythm was reduced a little but running continued to be a great way to stay in shape. In my forties, I participated in my first two half-marathons and did a few trails. When I retired 5 years ago, at 56, I participated in a 10 km, two half-marathons and three marathons. I run an average of 1600km/year. In conclusion, with 40 years of experience as a jogger, trail runner, and participant in organized races, together we will surely succeed in getting you to run your first 5km!
