Mélissa Tremblay
B.Sc Kinesiology
Melissa has always been athletic. Practicing swimming younger, she then became interested in training. Mélissa graduated with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Montreal in 2004. She developed a passion for group classes and specialized in Pilates and Yoga. Since her arrival at the Coop, she has contributed to increasing the offer of group classes by seeking other training courses in Boxing and Barre (Posture Toning). Mélissa also gives private training and does personalized programs. She specializes in postural work, specific reinforcement after injury, sports preparation and general well-being. Preferring active recreation, she enjoys hiking in the mountains, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and downhill skiing.
Do you want a personalized program? Do you want a follow-up in private training? You have questions? Contact Mélissa at melissa@coopgymsantesutton.com
Josée Gagnon
B.Sc Kinesiology
Josée loves physical activity in general. She graduated from the Université du Québec à Montréal in 1999 with a degree in Kinesiology and worked at the Montreal YMCA as a training program coordinator for many years. She taught several group classes but fell in love with the spinning classes. An avid road cyclist, she decided to move to Sutton in 2004. She started her new career in 2005 as a physical education teacher in the area. Her love for spinning persisted. So, she started giving spinning classes at Énergie Sud. A passionate teacher, she was riding twice a week from 2006 to 2018. Fortunately for us, Josée still has the flame and is very excited to start teaching at the Coop gym santé Sutton.
Jill Sladen
I love to help others feel great, learn new things and accomplish goals. I enjoy working equally with beginners, because we all were once at the start of a new journey, and also with experienced “gym goers”. My strength is a positive mindset and an abundance of patience at helping others overcome a hurdle.
I am a certified personal trainer through YMCA-FIT, and I have a particular interest in the role of muscle strength as it relates to health and how it can slow the aging process, particularly for women. I am also a certified Level 2 alpine ski instructor, Level 1 mountain bike instructor and squash instructor.
Getting fit and healthy should be the best part of your day - let’s work on it together!
