Being in the top five in the province, we are therefore qualified to claim the super prize of $100,000 awarded to the most active municipality in Canada, or the prize of $15,000 for the one in Quebec. Winners will be announced the week of July 24.

“It is a great pride for Sutton to have achieved such a result once again, knowing that we had several events planned that were canceled due to rain, and the PENS trails were closed on a weekend. complete because of the risk of fire," said Mayor Robert Benoît. It is impressive that a small municipality like ours ranks among the very large. This is a fine example of the mobilization, consistency and dynamism shown by our citizens: a big thank you to the 17 organizations that participated in or organized activities to get us moving and to the hundreds of people who individually counted their minutes of physical activity! Congratulations all! »

The Town of Sutton particularly thanks the members of the organizing committee whose involvement was at the heart of this great success: the COOP gym santé Sutton, the Parc d'environnement naturel de Sutton (PENS), Plein air Sutton/MTB, the Sutton Curling Club, Sutton School and the Sutton Economic Development Corporation.
