Nordic walking technique – Introduction

Nordic walking is an improved walking technique that uses specially designed poles and is similar to cross-country skiing. This outdoor activity is ideally performed on flat terrain and combines cardiovascular exercise with a vigorous muscle workout of the shoulders, arms, trunk and legs. Other benefits include improved posture and a 20% increase in calories burned compared to normal walking.

Registration for the full session of 5 classes required. Classes are on Wednesdays from 1 to 2 p.m. from October 4 to November 1, 2023.  Poles provided. Contact us to register.
