To offer the population a stimulating and friendly gym that promotes the development, maintenance and improvement of physical fitness.

As a co-operative, our vision is to create, on a human scale, an open, participatory, inclusive environment that is conducive to the establishment of social connections between members, users, staff and volunteers, all within the framework of physical activity.

The general meeting of the members of the Coop is sovereign and decides, among other things, the mandate it entrusts to the board of directors. Each member of the Coop has one vote. The Board of Directors is made up of nine member directors elected for three-year terms at the Annual General Meeting. The Board of Directors may, however, fill vacancies during the term of office.

Become a member — Share

To become a member of the Coop, a person must buy a share of the company of one hundred and fifty dollars. The person thus becomes a life member. This share is non-refundable. The shares constituted the starting capital for the creation of the Coop. Check out the benefits for our members.

Preferred Shares

In July 2020, the Coop launched the sale of Class 1 preferred units. These shares at $250 per unit were offered to both members and non-members and remain purchasable at any time. They do not make a non-member a member and do not offer any additional rights. These non-transferable shares bear interest at the rate of 3% annually and can be resold to the Coop. The payment of interest and the redemption of the shares is dependent on the financial situation of the Coop and at the discretion of the Board.

Liane Bruneau has been a member of the Board of Directors for a long time and has been its president since 2018. The ongoing challenges of maintaining and growing the cooperative are her daily stimuli and she is really happy to work with this dynamic team. Liane is very fond of Spinning and Circuit tonus!

Marc-André Blain Has served two terms on the board of directors in the past and is returning as vice president after four years on the city council. Marc-André has the gym tattooed on his heart and is passionate about TRX.

Mario Cardinal joins us in January 2022 and holds the position of Treasurer. It is not uncommon to see him arrive on foot or by bike, a little warm-up before training in the gym.

Claudette Dupont, our secretary, joined us in 2019. Claudette is invaluable to us by also taking care of the management of the volunteers at the reception. Claudette doesn't miss a Posture Tonus class!

Mike McVey has been a member of the Board of Directors since September 2018 and is a member of the Marketing and Communications Committee and ensures that they are accurate in English. Mike favors cycling for cardio.

André Forest with his extensive experience in management and on various boards of directors, has been a member of the Board of Directors since October 2021. He prefers indoor training.

Isabelle Cardinal has been a member of the team since October 2024 and shares her extensive experience in advertising and branding. It helps to enhance and promote the image of our gym. She loves Pilates classes and "Bouge de là"... She likes it when things move!

Édith Dandenault , newly elected to the Board of Directors, arrives with the energy and ideas for which she is known. An avid walker, Edith chose Pilates and Zumba to energize her training.

Félix-Antoine Desjardins Potvin a founding member of the Coop, he was general manager and coach for several years. Félix-Antoine brings his experience as a young entrepeneur. He can often be seen working out at the gym.

The Coop gym santé Sutton would not be what it is without the unwavering support of its volunteer members who provide their support by ensuring a continuous presence at the reception, by getting their hands dirty during maintenance and renovation work as well as during fundraising campaigns.
